A Chamber Ambassador plays a crucial role in fostering positive relationships and enhancing the visibility of the Dayton Chamber of Commerce within the region. As a Chamber Ambassador, you will serve as a representative and advocate for the Dayton Chamber of Commerce in the region. Your primary responsibility will be to promote the chamber’s mission, programs, and events to both current and prospective Member Investors. You will actively engage with businesses, attend Ribbon Cuttings, attend chamber events, and facilitate networking opportunities to support member retention and recruitment efforts.
The role of a Chamber Ambassador is ideal for individuals passionate about community engagement, relationship building, and supporting local businesses. If you are enthusiastic about promoting the mission of the chamber and enjoy connecting with people, this role offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of both the chamber and its members.
What are the Responsibilities:
- Promote Chamber Member Investment: Actively recruit new Member Investors by explaining the benefits and value of chamber member investment.
- Serve as a Laision: As an ambassador, you will be paired with new Member Investors. You will assist them with scheduling their Ribbon Cutting, presenting their Member Investor Plaque at their Ribbon Cutting, making sure they are aware of all upcoming Chamber events and Luncheons and introduce them to current Member Investors at Chamber functions.
- Attend Ribbon Cuttings: Regularly attend Ribbon Cutting events for all New Member Investors.
- Attend Chamber Events: Regularly attend chamber events such as networking mixers, ribbon cuttings, luncheons, etc.
- Serve as a Greeter: Welcome new members and guests at chamber events, helping them feel engaged and connected. If needed, help them find their table or booth at events.
- Facilitate Networking: Introduce members to each other, encourage connections, and facilitate relationship-building among businesses.
- Educate Members: Provide information about chamber programs, benefits, and initiatives to existing and potential members.
- Represent the Chamber: Serve as a positive and professional representative of the chamber at community events and functions.
- Assist with Retention Efforts: Follow up with members to ensure they are satisfied with their chamber experience and encourage continued involvement.
- Support Chamber Initiatives: Assist with the execution of chamber initiatives, including membership drives, fundraising events, and community outreach programs.
What are the Requirements:
- Investment: You must work for, or own a business that is already, a current Member Investor in the Dayon Chamber of Commerce.
- Networking Ability: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with diverse groups of people.
- Enthusiasm: Passion for community involvement and supporting local businesses.
- Reliability: Dependable, punctual, and able to commit to attending Ribbon Cuttings and other chamber events regularly.
- Professionalism: Represent the chamber in a positive and professional manner at all times.
